Law program

The English for Law program is an interactive 5 to 20 week course

designed for Intermediate to Advanced students with a background in Law.

UNSW Institute of Languages: ‘English for Law’ course

The course is ideally suited for students approaching the end of
their degree programs, or for legal professionals seeking to
demonstrate their English proficiency.

The course focuses on developing language skills to cope in a legal
context and also prepares students for the Cambridge ILEC Exam,
covering the 4 skill areas of speaking, listening, writing and
reading, while improving students’ ability to function in an English
speaking commercial law environment. The program can also be linked to
an Internship placement for suitably qualified students.

Students completing the *English for Law* program will also have the
opportunity to visit the prestigious UNSW Faculty of Law and,
dependent upon availability, meet with faculty staff, sit in on a
number of law lectures, visit Sydney Law firms and engage with their
local peers.
